GRIPKIT technology

The smart handling solution for your robot

With its GRIPKIT technology, Weiss Robotics offers a universal platform that enables smart gripper modules to be seamlessly integrated into robotic applications.

Implement pick-and-place applications in no time at all with Weiss Robotics’ GRIPKIT technology. GRIPKIT is the ready-to-use plug-in solution for industrial robots and cobots from leading manufacturers, which relieves the user of the otherwise time-consuming task of integrating the gripping module into the robot controller, thereby saving time and money.

In addition to the smart gripping module, users are provided with all the components required for system-level integration. A key feature is the GRIPKIT plug-in, which is specifically tailored to the robot controller and guarantees rapid configuration and commissioning. Thanks to the supplied mounting accessories and fastening materials, mechanical integration is also a breeze.

GRIPKIT is available as a sensitive servo-electric, safe collaborative or powerful pneumatic variant, with both parallel and centric gripping capabilities, and covers a gripping range of 10 to 500 newtons with its available sizes. The servo-electric GRIPKIT-E is based on the IEG gripper modules and is available in two sizes with gripping forces of 7.5 to 30 N and 50 to 200 N. This makes it particularly suitable for applications where gripping forces need to be adjusted with precision and flexibility, and where the gripping fingers must be pre-positioned for process-related reasons, such as when handling sensitive electronic components or in sensor production.

The collaborative GRIPKIT-CR, based on the CRG gripper modules, was, on the other hand, designed specifically for human-robot collaboration. The CRG series is the first gripper on the market to feature Weiss Robotics’ patented PERMAGRIP® technology. This is a clever mechanism for maintaining gripping force which does not snap shut during manual workpiece removal, thereby ensuring safe use in direct interaction with humans. A further advantage is the safe grip force control, which achieves Category 3, PLd. The grippers therefore meet all the standard requirements for use in fully collaborative operation.

For applications requiring high dynamics and gripping force, the GRIPKIT-P is the ideal choice. This is where the smart pneumatic RPG gripper modules come into play. This patented gripper series from Weiss Robotics features fully integrated valve technology with position sensors and gripper control. The elimination of the external proximity switches that would otherwise be necessary results in a minimal interference contour, which significantly improves accessibility to the process. Furthermore, the gripper modules comply with protection class IP54K as standard and are therefore particularly suitable for machine loading.

To facilitate the handling of different objects, all GRIPKIT series support freely configurable grips, which can be flexibly configured directly on the robot controller and implemented particularly easily without time-consuming and costly changeovers. Batch handling with multiple grippers is also no problem with GRIPKIT: several different gripper modules can be integrated per robot arm. Combinations of different gripper modules are also possible.
