The CRG series has been specially developed for the collaboration of humans and robots. Rounded edges and safe gripping force make the CRG a flexible tool for collaborative robots, which already meets the DGUV recommendations for collaborative robotic systems as well as the requirements of the ISO / TS 15066 standard. Sensorless gripping force control
With the sensorless force control, the CRG also handles brittle, fragile or compliant parts effortlessly and ensures a consistently reproducible grip result. Using state-of-the-art model-based algorithms, the current gripping force from the drive state is determined and controlled to the predetermined value. This technique guarantees a reproducible gripping result even under changing ambient conditions. Both the gripping range and the gripping force can be flexibly defined for each grip and thus optimally matched to the gripping part. In addition, the CRG supports predefined grip configurations, which can be easily selected by the system controller.
Communication via IO-Link
Parameterization and control of the CRG grippers are carried out using the widely used industrial standard IO-Link. This creates flexibility, because IO-Link not only simplifies the connection to the process control, but also facilitates the parameterization and diagnosis in the plant via a standardized protocol. This way, you always have your process under control.
Gripping part detection integrated
Forget external proximity switches!
The CRG has a built-in gripping control with gripping part detection and grip monitoring. This ensures safe handling even in difficult situations. Thanks to its precise servo-electric drive, the jaws can be flexibly pre-positioned and thus different workpieces can be gripped without retooling. The otherwise necessary external sensors are not required, which minimizes the interfering contour of the gripper and considerably increases the process reliability.
Position measuring system
With the new absolute measuring system, the CRG knows its finger position during startup even without a reference movement. This allows you to simply continue the gripping process, even if the operating voltage has been interrupted by an emergency stop or a restart of the system program.

Safe gripping – PERMAGRIP
The innovative gripping force retention PERMAGRIP developed by Weiss Robotics preserves the gripping force on the workpiece, even if the power supply to the gripper is interrupted unexpectedly. Thanks to the integrated absolute sensors the production can continue even without referencing when the power supply is restored.

With the CRG, you rely on the highest quality and state-of-the-art technology. The maintenance-free and friction-free roller bearing guides with FDA-compliant lubrication make the grippers very robust and enable precise and sensitive gripping over the entire stroke. Due to the unique double bearing of the base jaws, the gripping force is almost independent of the finger length. The maintenance-free brushless DC motor provides a high agility and guarantees a long lifetime.
